Innovative Features from Westinghouse
Ecoflow Regeneration refers to the self-cleaning process of the Dynamic Series Westinghouse Refiner. The direction of the water flow and regenerate strength is computer controlled in order to maximize the efficiency of the cleaning process. The least depleted portion of the media bed is cleaned first by lifting the contaminants up through the most depleted portion of the media bed and out to drain. The Ecoflow technology substantially reduces the use of regenerate and water to clean the system.
The Westinghouse Dynamic Series Water Refiner incorporates a technological advancement not found in other water treatment systems; the Self Sanitation process. During each regeneration, a low voltage current is sent through a series of titanium plates in the valve as the brine water passes into the filtration chamber. At this point a molecular reaction takes place which creates a sanitation solution that is sent through the media bed to effectively sanitize the entire filtering chamber ensuring a bacteria and microbe free system.
The Westinghouse Dynamic Series Refiner utilizes a unique regeneration sequence. Rather than filling the brine tank with water as the last step in the process, it fills it with the first; utilizing the exact amount of water needed to regenerate the portion of the filtering media bed that has actually been depleted. This significantly reduces the use of regenerate and water, saving you money. Why waste the time and money to clean the whole filter if only half of it is dirty?
The Westinghouse Dynamic Series Refiner is quite intelligent. It learns your family’s water usage habits and retains the information for 28 days in order to accurately predict your daily water demands. If you use lots of water on Saturdays, and the system doesn’t have enough remaining capacity Friday night to treat the quantity of water you will need for the next day (Saturday), it will initiate a regeneration late Friday night, in preparation for your high water usage day on Saturday. Now that’s smart!
The Calendar Override feature ensures that the refiner is kept in a fresh clean state, even when it's not in use. This feature enables the system to go into regeneration after a predetermined number of days, even if the metered water usage hasn’t triggered an automatic regeneration. This is very helpful during periods of non-use or low use. So unlike its homeowner, the Westinghouse refiner never goes on vacation, it’s always working to ensure that high quality water is available.
With a minimum of a 1” Controller & Distributor, Westinghouse whole house refiners enjoy very high flow rates enabling them to keep up with high levels of water usage in the home. So if you are doing the laundry, running the dishwasher, and preparing to take a stress relieving bath while your daughter is in the shower, Westinghouse refiners are designed to keep up with the demand without restricting your water flow.
When your Westinghouse Pro water treatment professional installs your new Westinghouse refiner he will program the computer valve with many water quality and system capacity settings. These settings are stored in NOVRAM – non-volatile memory, just like your home computer. So if the system loses power, even for days, or weeks, no service call will be required to reprogram the system once power is restored.
